MTP-9 MIDI to Parallel Conversion (128 Outputs)

£112.00

Providing the bridge between any MIDI standard controller and any device capable of being controlled electrically by on/off switches, this range of MIDI-to-Parallel converters can be used in applications such as:

  • Mechanical organs
  • Player pianos
  • Lighting effects
  • Firework displays
  • Musical fountains
  • Remote pipe organ consoles
  • Active museum exhibits
  • Theme park attractions
  • And much more…

There are three devices in the ‘MTP’ range of converters, all of which are supplied as fully assembled printed circuit boards (PCBs), suitable for direct installation into the devices they control or into the enclosure of your choice.

All devices have the following features in common:

  • Built on high quality glass fibre pcbs with gold-plated finish
  • 5-pin DIN sockets for MIDI in and MIDI through
  • Mapping of outputs to MIDI notes and channels can be re-configured as required
  • Responds to note on/off, all notes off, all sounds off, active sensing and reset commands
  • Supports MIDI running status
  • LED shows power on and flashes when in configuration mode
  • Powered by a DC supply anywhere in the range 8 to 35 volts
  • Supplied with comprehensive installation notes
  • RoHS compliant (free from hazardous substances such as lead, mercury and cadmium)

The MTP-9 has the following features in addition to the common features listed above:

  • Supplied as a single high quality glass fibre pcb measuring 185 mm x 118 mm for installation inside a musical instrument or other device
  • Five 3.2mm mounting holes provided on the circuit board
  • 128 logic level (5V, active-high) outputs suitable for driving low current devices (eg. high-efficiency LEDs) or external load switches
  • High quality rising-clamp screw terminal connections for the power supply and industry-standard insulation displacement connection (IDC) headers for the outputs
  • Up to 15 outputs can be defined as latching ‘register’ outputs and one note (which may also be an output) can be allocated as register cancel (declanche)
  • Built-in tremulant function with user-adjustable rate modulates active register outputs for special effects when activated by the register system
  • Registers, tremulant and declanche MIDI note and channel allocations are all user-definable via the configuration process as per normal note outputs
  • A choice of output buffer modules is available for connection to the MTP-9 to control high power loads: see the Accessories page for details

Includes installation instructions and technical support by e-mail/telephone.
